Today marked a momentous occasion as Spiritans International School of Theology, located in Attakwu, Enugu State, Nigeria, celebrated its 33rd convocation ceremony with great pomp and splendor. The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including the bishop of Orlu Diocese, Nigeria, Most Rev Dr. Augustine Ukwuoma, who presided over the holy mass, Rev Fr Dr John Asomugha, CSSp, the school rector, and Very Rev Fr Ortese Jude Ortese, CSSp, the Superior of the Spiritans Province of Nigeria Northeast and the chairman of the Proprietors of the institution.

Among other external students, a total number of 34 Spiritans graduated from this esteemed institution, six of whom were newly ordained deacons of the province of Nigeria Southwest. These include Rev Okocha Philip, CSSp, Rev Aghidi Emmanuel CSSp, Rev Okoihue David CSSp, Rev Okonedo Emmanuel CSSp, Rev Udumebraye Kelvin CSSp, and Rev Yai Felix CSSp.

Noteworthy achievements were also recognized during the convocation. Rev Aghidi Emmanuel CSSp received a merit award for his outstanding contributions to creative publications, while Rev Yai Felix received an award for excellence in sports.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students of SIST, especially the 34 Spiritans, for their remarkable accomplishments in their educational journey. As they embark on their respective missions, may they bear the fruits of their knowledge and minister effectively in their various endeavors. We invoke the Holy Spirit’s blessings upon them, granting them the strength and wisdom to fulfill their missions with grace and purpose.
